End-User Testimonial for TrialPay

Donna Porter at AssociatedContent.Com wrote a nice article: TrialPay: How I Found a Scam Free Way to Get Free Stuff
It’s a good article, giving a first-hand account about how she bought ZoneAlarm Security Suite for “free” using TrialPay. She usually writes about online scams, so she was looking for trouble. Her conclusion was that it’s really free, and quite good!
I think I’ll see if I can solicit Testimonials from ClipMate users who have gotten ClipMate for free, using TrialPay. Usually, when I don’t hear, it’s good news. I’ve only gotten one complaint from and end-user, and he was an impatient type, ordering over a long weekend holiday, and had completed an offer that takes a few days to clear, normally. (Some offers clear instantly, others, such as credit card sign-ups can take a few days while the advertising merchant processes the order). According to Donna’s article, such offers make this clear up-front.

Just wanted to say as the author of the aforementioned article, thanks for including it on your blog, and yes it is objective. Most of the reviews I’d written until that point were negative, the things to stay away from. My happy-camper Trial Pay experience was one compelling enough to write about. Back then though there was little known about the program. Thanks for the comprehsive listing - I will check some of them out. And, best of luck with your affiliate program, too. If I had, the time to promote one, it is one I’d feel good about.
I had an experience with TrialPay that took two days to clear when it was advertised as one that would clear immediately. I placed my order on a Thursday for Stamps.com in exchange for a license to Clipmate, TrialPay cleared it two days later on Saturday
While I did experience a technical problem with them when they were a new company, I find that understandable, because code bugs happen. They could have handled the problem better by responding to my email enquiry but perhaps they were short staffed back then?
I gave TrialPay another go about two weeks ago for a similar instant offer, this time it worked instantly, as advertised, without a hitch! From an end users point of view, TrialPay had a bit of a rough start. They have since worked out the bugs in their system and have become a reliable company with offers that go through, as advertised. I now have no qualms recommending them to family and friends. I will surely jump on deals myself when I find new ones that I find useful.
The whole idea behind TrialPay is pure genius. Consumers, businesses and TrialPay all win when their offers are accepted. There are not many win win win offers in this world that actually work, TrialPay is one that really does!
Trial Pay is a SCAM. The links to complete the offer don’t work. Their automated emails promise response but one never comes. They lure you into buying an offer from another company, then they don’t pay up on their end of the bargain. Avoid Trial Pay at all costs; it is nothing short of a RIP-OFF!
Trialpay does not pay!!! It actually worked for my first 2 purchases but then it stopped working for my next 4 purchases from 4 different merchants. All of the offers were supposed to credit instantly. I complained for each occasion but received no response. If any Trialpay employee is watching this board, please resolve my issue immediately. my email is colonelcheng@hotmail.com
K declined the offer of free and clicked to purchase. I got a confirmation number, and a support email address…which by the way no one responded, nor was I able to access it again via the web. My credit card was charged, and four days later I still don’t have the confirmation email for downloading the product. I’ve been had.
SCAM! They suck. They don’t deliver what they say they will. Plain and simple. It’s a rip.
TrialPay is a scam!
I thought I was getting a good deal when I was offered a AVG 8.5 upgrade from the free to the PRO version. Of course I was sent an email with a link to the “full” program. No license key though and within a few days it couldn’t be used.
Also they said I was in violation of their “rules” when I was registered with them under 2 different email accounts.
So for a purchase thru Snapfish, a trial of a vitamin, and a purchase at Shoes.com. I got one sucky program that will be looking for $$$’s from me soon, the need to download AVG free again with a big headache, and now I need to stop the $40 a month vitamin “miracle”.
Leave your bargain hopes off of TrialPays doorstop. You will be better served going to Download.com and finding either freeware or low cost shareware.
I could not be less pleased. The business cards I ordered have arrived and my credit card has been charged, but my offer which “confirms instantly” is still no where to be seen. I have complained to TrialPay and get an email every 2-3 days from Genevieve on the Customer Support Team saying how sorry they are. It has been over a week now. I will give it a few more days until I reverse the charge on my credit card. Maybe Vista Print should find a new way to market it’s services.
Wow Doug…you got a reply?
I too, was recently a victim of TrialPay’s scam. I was attempting to use their service to upgrade to WeatherBug Plus by signing up for a Blockbuster Online DVD rental program. I’ve received a confirmation email from both TrialPay (with an activation code), Blockbuster (confirming my membership) and the “WeatherBug Team” (welcoming my to WeatherBug Plus). Nonetheless, my activation code comes back invalid, my attempts to contact them via email only return automated responses, and my calls to their toll free customer support number lead only to a voice mail service on which I’m unable to leave a message. I could not be more disappointed and plan to uninstall the free version of WeatherBug that I am using, and cancel my Blockbuster membership.
Shame on you TrialPay, and you too Blockbuster and WeatherBug for using such an unethical practice to promote your products!
* UPDATE *
While still extremely unimpressed with TrialPay, I was contacted by WeatherBug’s Customer Support and was given an activation code that worked. I also heard back from Blockbuster and my first DVD is on it’s way.
Kudos to both for ‘picking up the pieces’. Be very wary of TrialPay.com.
